The Origin: The birth pangs for this portal have been long and painful. Though we have maintained an online presence for quite sometime now, thanks largely to the effort of that maverick Saad Akhtar ( he is the only guy i know who graduated to a two wheeler from a four wheel drive ). But for this newfound traffic on the portal and a whole lot of other activities we must prostrate ourselves in front of Faiz 'forever a man of action' and Akif 'forever a man of words'; each complimentary to the other. Having paid our tributes the next logical thing to do, is to take a pledge . And hence lets pledge, that we will carry on their work forward, each of us contributing in whatever manner we can, to stay connected, to stay in touch, to 'celebrate the togetherness' that was and will be amongst us. The IDEA: Alma Mater; I have a problem pronouncing that word. However, the sound(even with distortions) is pleasing to the ear. It brings with it a flood of memories; memories of our best days, of friendships formed, of love lost and found and of dreams nurtured. Many of us are living those dreams now and it is to remind us where it all began, of who the friends were that shaped us and the surroundings that formed us that JAMHAM exists. As an online community of Alumni, we do not expect anything from you. We do better than that. We order and command you; to log on, to share, to help and to celebrate the togetherness. You do not owe this to anyone but yourselves. The Extension of the IDEA: Now, that we are here for good, we implore you to bring something along. Bouquets or brick-bats, it doesnt matter. All we care for is that you get in touch amongst yourselves, plan things and take it to the next level. its your baby now. From an Alumnus's pen. |
